To provide an inter-vehicle distance control device which realizes inter-vehicle distance control that can be satisfied by a driver.SOLUTION: An inter-vehicle distance control device comprises: a preceding vehicle speed calculation part which calculates a speed of a preceding vehicle on the basis of a speed of an own vehicle and a relative speed between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle; a target inter-vehicle setting part which sets a target inter-vehicle distance between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle on the basis of the speed of the preceding vehicle; a target track generation part which generates a target track, which defines a time history of an inter-vehicle distance from an initial inter-vehicle distance to the target inter-vehicle distance, and a target track differential value which is a differential value of the target track; and a feedback control part which calculates a feedback acceleration command by multiplying a deviation between the target track and the inter-vehicle distance and a deviation between the target track differential value and the relative speed respectively by a gain.
