To provide a fault diagnosis method for an inverter circuit, which can easily perform a fault diagnosis of an FET in the inverter circuit without delay.SOLUTION: A motor terminal (MV terminal) voltage corresponding to each phase of an inverter circuit composed of a plurality of semiconductor switching elements (FETs) for driving a motor is compared with a threshold voltage by comparators 61a to 61c, which are means for comparing voltages. At that time, the threshold voltage is changed according to a high-side FET and a low-side FET that are failure diagnosis targets. Then, from a digital output from a comparator, it is determined whether the MV terminal voltage is normal or abnormal (whether each FET is short-circuited or not).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】インバータ回路のFETの故障診断を遅延なく簡易に行えるインバータ回路の故障診断方法を提供する。【解決手段】モータ駆動用の複数の半導体スイッチング素子(FET)からなるインバータ回路の各相に対応するモータ端子(MV端子)電圧を、電圧比較手段であるコンパレータ61a〜61cで閾値電圧と比較する。その際、故障診断対象であるハイサイドFETとローサイドFETに応じて閾値電圧を変更する。そして、コンパレータからのデジタル出力より、MV端子電圧の正常あるいは異常(各FETの短絡等の有無)を判定する。【選択図】図2
