To provide a power generation control device for a series hybrid vehicle, which is able to extend a cruising distance in a case where an amount of remaining fuel is small.SOLUTION: A power generation control device for a series hybrid vehicle sets an operation point for an engine by selectively using, as an operation line for the engine, a fuel cost line that gives priority to a fuel cost and an NV line that is lower in the number of engine revolutions than the fuel cost line and that gives priority to reductions of noise and vibration. Using power from the engine operated at this operation point, a power generator is caused to generate power. In the power generation control device for the series hybrid vehicle, in a case where an amount of remaining fuel supplied to the engine is equal to or smaller than a predetermined amount, the fuel cost line is selected to set the operation point for the engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
