To provide a travel unit in which uplift of a carriage is suppressed.SOLUTION: A travel unit 101 comprises a carriage 111 and a ground-side facility having travelling rails 117 defining a travelling route. The carriage 111 comprises wheels 118 that contact the travelling rails 117 to rotate, magnet rows 115 that generate thrust in a direction along the travelling route of the carriage by magnetic action, and a curve member 132 to be regulated for regulating abnormal movement of the carriage 111. The ground-side facility comprises armatures 116, arranged along the travelling route, which makes magnetism act on the magnet rows 115, and a curve regulating member 142 that contacts the curve member 132 to be regulated and extends along the travelling route in order to regulate the abnormal movement of the carriage 111 within a predetermined distance, where the predetermined distance is shorter than distances between the armatures and the magnet rows.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
