To provide a dead angle aiding device capable of sufficiently securing visibility while improving protective performance.SOLUTION: A dead angle aiding device (10) comprises: a case (11) having an opening (30a) at a position facing a viewer (Mn); a half mirror (41) which is housed in the case (11), faces the opening (30a) and reflects an object (Ob); and a plate-shaped light blocking part (50) which is obliquely provided with respect to the opening (30a), makes an image reflected by the half mirror (41) visible and suppresses entry of external light into the opening. The light blocking part (50) is configured such that a tip end (51) separated from the half mirror (41) furthest is formed in a curved shape. A plate thickness of a base end (52) which is an end opposite to the tip end (51) is set thinner than the tip end (51) so that a region where the image can be visually recognized can be secured widely.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】保護性能の向上を図りつつ、視認性を十分に確保することができる死角補助装置を提供すること。【解決手段】死角補助装置(10)は、視認者(Mn)に対向する部位に開口(30a)が開けられているケース(11)と、このケース(11)に収納されていると共に開口(30a)に臨み対象物(Ob)を映し出すハーフミラー(41)と、開口(30a)に対して斜めに設けられハーフミラー(41)の映し出した像を視認可能に且つ開口へ外光が入射することを抑制する板状の遮光部(50)と、を有している。遮光部(50)は、ハーフミラー(41)から最も離間している先端部(51)が湾曲状に形成されている。先端部(51)とは逆側の端部である基端部(52)の板厚は、像が視認可能な領域を広く確保することができるよう先端部(51)の板厚よりも薄く設定されている。【選択図】図6
