To provide a vehicle step structure which enables release of linkage between a step plate and a door while securing excellent handleability.SOLUTION: A step plate (41) is connected to a door (20) which opens or closes a door opening to receive a force that acts toward the vehicle outer side when the door (20) moves in an open direction to move from a storage position to a use position. A vehicle body is provided with a latch part 50 which is engaged with the step plate (41) in the storage position from an orientation along a planar direction of the step plate (41). The latch part 50 has an inhibition portion 52 which inhibits connection between the engaged step plate (41) and the door (20).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
