To provide a light-weight knuckle which can be easily assembled, can insert a resinous and reinforcing fiber sheet therein, and can further reduce weight.SOLUTION: A light-weight knuckle is mainly formed by a sheet metal or a resinous platy member. The light-weight knuckle is equipped with a base platy member 10 having a notch portion 115 or a shaft hole 15, and a first outer peripheral half body platy member 20 and a second outer peripheral half body platy member 30 which are disposed on the base platy member, and are curved so as to form openings according to the notch portion or the shaft hole. The first outer peripheral half body platy member 20 and the second outer peripheral half body platy member 30 are equipped with flange portions 22 and 21 and flange portions 31 and 32 respectively united, and a shape integrating these members.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
