To fully ensure a swing range of a tie rod.SOLUTION: In an electric power steering unit 100, assuming that a first distance L1 is a distance from a first intersection point IP1, at which a first projection axis PCL1 and first axis CL1 meet, to an end point of an electric motor 50 and controller 60 on a first projection plane P1 that contains the first axis CL1 and is parallel to a second axis CL2, a second distance L2 is a distance from a second intersection point IP2, at which a second projection axis PCL2 and the first axis CL1 meet, to a first swing center SC1 of one tie rod 31 on a second projection plane P2 that contains the first axis CL1 and is parallel to a third axis CL3, and a third distance L3 is a distance from the second intersection point IP2 to a second swing center SC2 of the other tie rod 31, the first distance L1 is larger than at least any of a minimum value of the second distance L2 and a minimum value of the third distance L3. The electric motor 50 and controller 60 are located at a position where they do not interfere with boots 35 even when the tie rods 31 swing to the greatest possible extend.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
