To continue external charging when the frequency of an AC voltage is low while hunting in a relay is prevented.SOLUTION: A charger includes an input line that is connected to an external power source, a conversion circuit that is disposed between the input line and a power storage device, a relay that is disposed between the input line and the conversion circuit, a voltage sensor that detects an AC voltage inputted to the input line, and a control device that calculates the effective value and frequency of the AC voltage on the basis of the waveform of the AC voltage during a prescribed time period. When a charging stop condition is established during external charging, the control device sets an open state of a relay. When a charging resumption condition is established after the external charging is stopped, the control device sets a closed state of the relay. A condition in which the calculated effective value of the AC voltage is less than a voltage threshold is set as the charging stop condition. A condition in which the calculated effective value of the AC voltage is greater than the voltage threshold and the calculated frequency of the AC voltage is greater than a frequency threshold is set as the charging resumption condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
【課題】リレーのハンチングを防止しつつ、交流電圧の周波数が低い場合においても外部充電を継続する。【解決手段】充電器は、外部電源に接続される入力線と、入力線と蓄電装置との間に設けられた変換回路と、入力線と変換回路との間に設けられたリレーと、入力線に入力される交流電圧を検出する電圧センサと、所定期間の交流電圧の波形に基づいて交流電圧の実効値および周波数を算出する制御装置とを備える。制御装置は、外部充電の実行中に充電停止条件が成立した場合にリレーを開状態にし、外部充電の停止後に充電再開条件が成立した場合にリレーを閉状態にする。充電停止条件は、算出された交流電圧の実効値が電圧閾値よりも小さいという条件に設定される。充電再開条件は、算出された交流電圧の実効値が電圧閾値よりも大きく、かつ算出された交流電圧の周波数が周波数閾値よりも大きいという条件に設定される。【選択図】図8
