To provide a compact vehicular lighting fixture which allows for highly accurate optical scanning in a headlamp performing optical scanning with a rotary mirror.SOLUTION: A vehicular lighting fixture is provided that comprises: lighting control means 52 controlling timing of emitting light emitted from a light source 31; and rotary scanning means 32 repeatedly scanning light from the light source 31, the vehicular lighting fixture illuminating a required region with scanned light. The rotary scanning means 32, when rotated one revolution, performs a plurality of repeated scanning. The lighting control means 52 comprises: a period detection unit 524 that detects a period of rotation of the rotary scanning means 32 on the basis of a detected result in a rotation position detection unit 521; and a period division unit 525 that divides the period of rotation equally and controls the timing of emitting light. The control of the timing of emitting light from the light source 31 on the basis of the period of rotation and the divided periods enables the rotary scanning means 32 to achieve highly accurate optical scanning.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
