To provide an artificial satellite that can maintain a preferable communication state.SOLUTION: An artificial satellite 1 includes: a satellite body 10; and an antenna 20 disposed in an exposed wall 11A of the satellite body 10. The antenna 20 is a loop antenna formed into an arc-shape and erecting from the exposed wall 11A. The antenna 20 is elastically deformable and has resilience which allows the antenna 20 to be switched from a non-deployed form along the exposed wall 11A to a deployed form erecting from the exposed wall 11A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
