To linearly set a force limiter load applied to a seat belt at the collision between a vehicle and an object.SOLUTION: A seat belt is drawn out in a first direction and taken up in a second direction. A motor applies a motor rotation load in the second direction to the seat belt. A torsion bar applies to the seat belt a torsion bar load against the drawing-out of the seat belt at the collision between a vehicle and an object. A processor predicts a collision severeness level indicating the severeness of the collision between the vehicle and the object on the basis of a relative speed of the vehicle and the object before the collision. The processor further calculates a target force limiter load being a target value of the load applied to the seat belt at the collision on the basis of the body weight and seating position of a passenger and the collision severeness level. The processor generates a motor rotation load in the second direction by controlling the operation of the motor such that the sum of the motor rotation load and the torsion bar load becomes equal to the target force limiter load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両と物体との衝突時にシートベルトにかかるフォースリミッタ荷重を線形的に設定すること。【解決手段】シートベルトは、第1方向に引き出され、第2方向に巻き取られる。モータは、シートベルトに第2方向のモータ回転荷重を印加する。トーションバーは、車両と物体との衝突時に、シートベルトの引き出しに対抗するトーションバー荷重をシートベルトに印加する。プロセッサは、衝突前の車両と物体との相対速度に基づいて、車両と物体との衝突の激しさを表す衝突激しさ度を予測する。更に、プロセッサは、乗員の体重と着座位置及び衝突激しさ度に応じて、衝突時にシートベルトにかかる荷重の目標値である目標フォースリミッタ荷重を算出する。そして、プロセッサは、モータ回転荷重とトーションバー荷重の和が目標フォースリミッタ荷重と等しくなるように、モータの動作を制御して第2方向のモータ回転荷重を発生させる。【選択図】図2
