To provide a rotation transmission mechanism and a chain block capable of reducing the occurrence of rattling and capable of attaining downsizing when a rotating body is connected to one end of a rotating shaft in a retrofitting manner.SOLUTION: A rotation transmission mechanism has a panel member 100, a driving pulley 132 attached to an end side of a shaft member 331, and a mounting member 111 fixed with a rotating body 120 and arranged on an opposite side of a gear member across the panel member 100 so as to face the panel member 100. The rotation transmission mechanism comprises an attaching mechanism 110 to attach the rotating body 120 to the panel member 100, a driven pulley 131 connected to an end side of a rotating shaft 122, and a driving belt 133 bridged between the driving pulley 132 and the driven pulley 131. The shaft member 331 and the rotating shaft 122 have an overlapping part in the axial direction, and the driving pulley 132 and the driven pulley 131 are arranged in the overlapping part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
