To provide a riding support device for a motorcycle, capable of avoiding brake control without rider's intention by enabling rapid deceleration by engine brake.SOLUTION: A riding support device for a motorcycle is configured to: calculate a deceleration start vehicular gap by a deceleration start vehicular gap calculation section (3), using an acceleration read out from an engine brake acceleration storage section (7) on the basis of a self vehicle speed calculated by a self vehicle speed calculation section (8) and an inclination angle of a road surface calculated by a road surface inclination calculation section 5; and start deceleration of the self vehicle by engine brake when a vehicular gap between the self vehicle and another vehicle detected by an object detection section (1) is smaller than the calculated deceleration start vehicular gap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
