To provide an automotive weather strip in which it is possible to recognize, by sight, from an outside whether or not a welt part is attached to a regular position of a flange part of an automotive body panel.SOLUTION: A welt part 5 is fitted and retained in a flange part 3 of an automotive body panel 2, and a pair of interior and exterior sealing lips 15, 6 are pressed against a panel surface 2a of the automotive body panel to provide a sealing function of the welt part against the automotive body panel. On an outer surface of a seating bead part 14, an openable and closable open/closed part 18 is formed along a longitudinal direction of the welt part, when the welt part is held in a non-regularly fitted position against the flange part, both opposing inner surfaces 18a, 18b of the open/closed part are open, and when the welt part is fitted in a regular position against the flange part, both opposing inner surfaces are in contact and closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】ウエルト部が車体パネルのフランジ部の正規位置に取り付けられているか否かを外部から視認可能な自動車用ウエザーストリップを提供する。【解決手段】ウエルト部5を車体パネル2のフランジ部3に嵌合保持すると共に、一対の室内側、室外側シールリップ15,6を車体パネルのパネル面2aに圧接させることにより車体パネルに対するウエルト部のシール機能を発揮させるようになっている。着座ビード部14の外面に、開閉可能な開閉部18がウエルト部の長手方向に沿って形成され、この開閉部は、ウエルト部がフランジ部に対して非正規の位置に嵌合保持されている場合には、開閉部の対向する両内面18a、18bが開いた状態になり、ウエルト部がフランジ部に対して正規の位置に嵌合した場合には、対向する両内面が当接して閉じた状態になる。【選択図】図3
