To provide an auxiliary wheel which is mounted to a two-wheeled vehicle, and can prevent tilt, fall and so on of a vehicle body at the time of stopping or travelling at a low speed while ensuring smooth operability of the two-wheeled vehicle during travelling.SOLUTION: An auxiliary wheel 1 mounted to a two-wheeled vehicle X comprises an auxiliary wheel body A, and fitting means B for detachably fitting the auxiliary wheel body A to the two-wheeled vehicle X. The auxiliary wheel body A has: a wheel part A1 which is configured to be groundable together with a wheel X1 of the two-wheeled vehicle X; moving means A2 which can move the wheel part A1 between a ground position P1 and a storage position P2 separated from a ground surface; and control means A3 which controls operation of the moving means A2 on the basis of a travel speed of the two-wheeled vehicle X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
