To provide a tire that can improve noise performance while maintaining excellent abrasion resistance and a method for setting a groove depth of the tire.SOLUTION: A tire 1 comprises a tread part 2. In the tread part 2 are formed a plurality of circumferential grooves 4 extending in a tire circumferential direction. In the tread part 2, a grounding surface 2a, in a normal state where the surface is rim-assembled into a normal rim and adjusted to normal inner pressure, to which a normal load is applied at a camber angle 0°, has a grounding length L which is a length in the tire circumferential direction associated with respective positions P in a tire shaft direction. The circumferential grooves 4 have groove depths d in proportion to the grounding length L in the positions P in the tire shaft direction in which the circumferential grooves 4 are formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 優れた耐摩耗性能を維持しつつノイズ性能を向上し得るタイヤ及び当該タイヤの溝深さ設定方法を提供する。【解決手段】 トレッド部2を有するタイヤ1である。トレッド部2には、タイヤ周方向に延びる複数の周方向溝4が形成されている。トレッド部2は、正規リムにリム組みされかつ正規内圧に調整された正規状態で、正規荷重がキャンバー角0°で負荷されたときの接地面2aが、タイヤ軸方向のそれぞれの位置Pに関連したタイヤ周方向の長さである接地長Lを有している。周方向溝4は、周方向溝4が形成されるタイヤ軸方向の位置Pにおける接地長Lに比例した溝深さdを有している。【選択図】 図1
