To provide a rubber composition for tires capable of improving wet grip performance and low loss properties of a tire.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tires contains a rubber component containing a diene rubber, silica, carbon black, and magnesium hydroxide. The total content of the silica and the carbon black is more than 60 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. The proportion of the silica in the total content of the silica and the carbon black is 80 mass% or more and less than 100 mass%. The content of the magnesium hydroxide is 1 pt.mass or more based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component.SELECTED DRAWING: None
