To perform a precise calibration between a lidar capable of detecting a reflected light of an ambient light as well as a reflected light of an applied laser beam and a camera.SOLUTION: An object detector 100 detects a target by using a lidar 1 and a camera 2. The object detector 100 has a calibration processor 31 for performing a calibration of the lidar 1 and the camera 2. The lidar 1 has a light receiving element 12 for receiving a reflected light of an applied laser beam and a reflected light of an ambient light as a light other than a laser beam and detecting the intensity of the received reflected light of the ambient light. The calibration processor 31 performs a calibration on the basis of the result of reception of the received reflected light of the ambient light and a camera image taken by the camera 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】照射したレーザ光の反射光に加え、環境光の反射光も検出可能なライダーと、カメラとのキャリブレーションを精度よく行う。【解決手段】物体検出装置100は、ライダー1及びカメラ2を用いて物標を検出する。物体検出装置100は、ライダー1とカメラ2とのキャリブレーションを行うキャリブレーション処理部31を備えている。ライダー1は、照射したレーザ光の反射光及びレーザ光以外の光である環境光の反射光を受光し、受光した環境光の反射光の強度を検出可能な受光素子12を備えている。キャリブレーション処理部31は、受光された環境光の反射光の受光結果と、カメラ2によって撮像されたカメラ画像とに基づいてキャリブレーションを行う。【選択図】図1
