To provide a rail breakage detection device which can acquire a rail breakage detection result even when a train is not travelling in the vicinity of a measurement section.SOLUTION: A rail breakage detection device comprises a first gain variable amplification circuit and a second gain variable amplification circuit that amplify voltage drop values in first and second measurement sections and output the first and second voltage drop signals respectively and signal processing devices that determine if there are rail breakage positions based on the first and second voltage drop signals outputted from the first and second amplification circuits. The signal processing device can detect a rail breakage from an unbalance of the first and second voltage drop signals. The first and second amplification circuits are constituted to amplify voltage drop values of 1 mV to 250 mV in the first and second measurement sections in response to control signals from the signal processing device and to output the first and second voltage drop signals in a level proper for input ranges of the signal processing device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】測定区間の近傍を電車が走行していないタイミングでもレールの破断検知結果を得ることができるレール破断検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】第1と第2の測定区間の電圧降下量を増幅して第1と第2の電圧降下信号をそれぞれ出力するゲイン可変な第1増幅回路および第2増幅回路と、第1増幅回路と第2増幅回路から出力された第1と第2の電圧降下信号に基づいてレールに破断箇所があるか否か判定する信号処理装置とを備え、信号処理装置は、第1電圧降下信号および第2電圧降下信号の不平衡からレールの破断を検知可能であり、第1増幅回路および記第2増幅回路は、信号処理装置からの制御信号に応じてそれぞれ第1測定区間と第2測定区間の1mV~250mVの電圧降下量を増幅して信号処理装置の入力レンジに適したレベルの第1および第2の電圧降下信号を出力するように構成した。【選択図】図3
