To adjust the parallelism of mutual cores of a motor and a pump, the horizontal core deviation (the eccentricity), and a gap between couplings in a short time without requiring rearrangement of component parts or change of a mounting place in a centering jig.SOLUTION: A power unit for a hydraulic elevator includes motor centering devices 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d mounted on a base 70 for fixing a motor 50 to four corners of the motor 50, axial parallel direction adjustment bolts 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d provided on the motor centering devices 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d and pressing the motor 50 in the axial horizontal direction along a motor shaft 50x to adjust a position of the motor 50, and axial vertical direction adjustment bolts 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d provided on the motor centering devices 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d and pressing the motor 50 in the axial vertical direction perpendicular to the motor shaft 50x and in the horizontal direction to adjust the position of the motor 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
