To provide a safety system capable of safely performing maintenance works even if a worker cannot visually confirm whereabouts of other workers in the maintenance works of a conveying mechanism.SOLUTION: A safety system 10 of a conveying mechanism according to the present invention includes multiple first communication devices 20, multiple second communication devices 30, and a control device 40, where the multiple first communication devices are attached one-to-one to each of multiple workers who perform maintenance works of the conveying mechanism which runs a conveyance body to convey people or objects along a conveying path, and transmits each unique identifier to them, the multiple second communication devices are placed in the conveyance body and one-to-one in the multiple locations including at least one end of the conveyance path and receive each identifier transmitted from each of the multiple first communication devices, and the control device accepts each identifier registration of the multiple first communication devices and controls to limit the output of a warning or the movement of the conveyance body while the identifier transmitted from any of the multiple first communication devices is received by the second communication device installed on one end of the conveyance path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
