To provide an electric vehicle which is provided with a small and lightweight power storage device and operates by receiving electric power transmitted wirelessly from a wireless power transmission device, and which can operate with an operating rate and energy efficiency superior than before.SOLUTION: A wireless power receiving unit 12 receives electric power transmitted wirelessly. A power receiving circuit 11 converts the electric power received by the wireless power receiving unit 12 into electric power that can be charged to a capacitor 13 and a battery 14. A switch SW1 connects one of the capacitor 13 and the battery 14 to the power receiving circuit 11 to charge the capacitor 13 or the battery 14 with the electric power outputted from the power receiving circuit 11.
