To provide a vehicle stability control device capable of ensuring traveling stability at vehicle backward movement equivalent to that at vehicle forward movement when an occupant or a load is loaded in a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle stability control device executes arithmetic processing of calculating a recommended arrangement position and instruction processing of instructing the recommended arrangement position when an occupant or a load is loaded in a vehicle. The operational expression of the recommended arrangement position includes a forward movement stability factor and a backward movement stability factor as parameters. The arithmetic processing is configured to: calculate an initial centroid position of the vehicle on the basis of ground load before loading the occupant or the load in the vehicle; calculate a centroid position range in which both of the forward movement stability factor and the backward movement stability factor are equal to or more than a prescribed value; and calculate the recommended arrangement position of the occupant or the load so that a centroid position of the vehicle including the occupant or the load is included in the centroid position range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】車両に乗員或いは積荷が乗せられる場合において、車両の後進時においても前進時と同等の走行安定性を確保することのできる車両安定制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両安定制御装置は、車両に乗員或いは積荷を乗せる際に、推奨配置位置を演算する演算処理と、推奨配置位置を指示する指示処理を行う。推奨配置位置の演算式は、前進時スタビリティファクタと、後進時スタビリティファクタと、をパラメータとして含む。演算処理は、乗員或いは積荷を車両に乗せる前の接地荷重に基づいて、車両の初期重心位置を演算し、前進時スタビリティファクタ及び後進時スタビリティファクタの両方が所定値以上となる重心位置範囲を算出し、乗員或いは積荷を含んだ車両の重心位置が重心位置範囲に含まれるための乗員或いは積荷の推奨配置位置を算出するように構成される。【選択図】図4
