To precisely determine a steady state of a rotational power source without complicating a structure related to communication and processing in a sound generation device for a vehicle, which reduces sound pressure when the rotational power source is in the steady state.SOLUTION: A sound generation device for a vehicle 1 includes: a sound control part 12 which sets a plurality of frequencies corresponding to a motor speed, sets sound pressure which is to be applied to the plurality of frequencies on the basis of a motor torque and generates a synthetic sound signal indicating synthetic sound including sound of the plurality of frequencies to which the sound pressure is applied; and a speaker 20 for outputting the synthetic sound on the basis of the synthetic sound signal. The device further includes a steady state determination part 13 for determining that the electric motor 3 is in a steady state when the motor torque is less than a first prescribed value and a change amount per unit time of the motor torque is less than a second prescribed value. The sound control part 12 performs sound pressure correction processing for reducing sound pressure of the synthetic sound when the electric motor 3 is determined to be in the steady state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】回転動力源が定常状態であるときに音圧を低下させる車両用音生成装置において、通信や処理に係る構成を煩雑化させることなく、回転動力源の定常状態を的確に判定する。【解決手段】車両用音生成装置1は、モータ回転数に応じた複数の周波数を設定すると共に、この複数の周波数に適用すべき音圧をモータトルクに基づき設定し、この音圧が適用された複数の周波数の音を含む合成音を表す合成音信号を生成する音制御部12と、この合成音信号に基づいて合成音を出力するスピーカ20と、を有し、更に、モータトルクが第1所定値未満で且つモータトルクの単位時間あたりの変化量が第2所定値未満である場合に、電動モータ3が定常状態であると判定する定常状態判定部13を有し、音制御部12は、電動モータ3が定常状態であると判定された場合に、合成音の音圧を小さくするための音圧補正処理を行う。【選択図】図3
