To provide a chimney internal inspection method capable of inspecting a state of an inner surface of a chimney with more high accuracy.SOLUTION: A chimney internal inspection method comprises: flying a flying object equipped with an optical sensor inside the chimney; measuring a distance to the inner peripheral surface of a chimney with the optical sensor while flying the flying object in a predetermined measurement target range of the inner peripheral surface; and based on the measurement result, generating a distribution map showing unevenness distribution in the measurement target range of the inner peripheral surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
