To make it possible to easily perform the positioning of a trolley beam at a horizontal fixing position even if a heavy object such as a hoisting machine and a control panel for an elevator and the like is lifted via a high working place such as a stairway while preventing the work time required for the entire lifting work of the heavy object from being drastically increased.SOLUTION: A portal type auxiliary fixture for stairway lifting includes an upper side portal type structure and a lower side portal type structure installed on a stairway and a trolley beam for connecting the upper side portal type structure and the lower side portal type structure. A guide mechanism for guiding the trolley beam is provided for at least one of the upper side portal type structure and the lower side portal type structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
