To improve fuel efficiency of a vehicle as a whole.SOLUTION: A first rotary machine is operated to generate electric power so that an amount of an electric path which is magnitude of electric power in the electric path through which electric power is fed and received between the first rotary machine and a second rotary machine is equal to a target amount of the electric path for enabling an operation point of an engine to be equal to a target operation point. It is determined whether fuel efficiency of a vehicle is improved or not when the vehicle is driven and operated using the second rotary machine as a second driving source. When it is determined that the fuel efficiency of the vehicle is improved, the first rotary machine is operated to generate electric power so that the amount of the electric path is equal to the target mount of the electric path and the second rotary machine is driven and operated as the second power source, which can improve fuel efficiency of the vehicle as a whole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9

    【課題】車両全体の燃費を向上させる。【解決手段】第1回転機と第2回転機との間で電力の授受がなされる電気パスにおける電力の大きさである電気パス量がエンジンの運転点を目標運転点とする為の目標電気パス量となるように第1回転機を発電動作させ、第2回転機を第2動力源として駆動動作させると車両の燃費が良くなるか否かの判定が行われ、車両の燃費が良くなると判定された場合には、電気パス量が目標電気パス量となるように第1回転機が発電動作させられ、第2回転機が第2動力源として駆動動作させられるので、車両全体の燃費を向上させることができる。【選択図】図9
