To provide a driver state determination method and a driver state determination system which can secure accuracy in state determination regardless of a learning period of time for a disturbance factor.SOLUTION: A driver state determination system S comprises: an information obtaining part 1 that obtains vehicle periphery information; a view field image generating part 23 that generates a view field image; a visual line behavior distribution generating part 24 that generates visual line behavior distributions Ba, Bb and Bc of a driver; a first correcting part 25a that corrects reference visual line distributions Aa, Ab and Ac using a first correction coefficient α originated from an environment and vehicle characteristics so as to obtain first corrected visual line distributions Xa, Xb and Xc; a second correcting part 25b that corrects the first corrected visual line distributions Xa, Xb and Xc using a second correction coefficient β originated from characteristics of the driver so as to obtain second corrected visual line distributions Ya, Yb and Yc; and an abnormality estimating part 26 that determines that the driver is abnormal when differences between the visual line behavior distributions Ba, Bb and Bc and the second corrected visual line distributions Ya, Yb and Yc are equal to or more than a determination threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
