To provide an ultraviolet sterilization device for an elevator, which can easily check irradiation of an ultraviolet ray from an ultraviolet irradiation device to a car operation panel.SOLUTION: The ultraviolet sterilization device for the elevator comprises: an ultraviolet irradiation device 5 that is provided in a car 1 and irradiates a car operation panel 2 with an ultraviolet ray 11; and an ultraviolet irradiation checking member 12 that is detachably fitted to the car 1 and changes in color by irradiation of the ultraviolet ray 11. When the ultraviolet irradiation checking member 12 is fitted to the car 1, the ultraviolet irradiation checking member 12 is disposed between the ultraviolet irradiation device 5 and the car operation panel 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
