To provide a visually impaired person walk support device which can support walk of a visually impaired person.SOLUTION: A visually impaired person walk support device according to the present invention comprises: an image acquisition unit which acquires image information including a ground surface; a braille block information extraction unit which analyzes the image information to extract braille block information including information on at least one of the position and size of a braille block; a distance calculation unit which calculates the direction and distance in which the braille block exists on the basis of at least one of the position and size of the braille block; an initial guide information notification unit which notifies a user of initial guide information that notifies of the direction and distance in which the braille block exists; a virtual walk area creation unit which creates a virtual walk area that is sectioned by two line segments extending from the lower end of the image toward the depth direction in the image; a braille block determination unit which determines the type of the extracted braille block; and a guide information notification unit which notifies of guide information on the basis of at least one of the type of the braille block and the virtual walk area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
