To effectively allocate a remote operator to a vehicle as a subject of remote assistance.SOLUTION: A management device manages remote assistance with vehicles. Specifically, the management device executes an operator allocation process to allocate a remote operator to a target vehicle in response to an assistance request from the target vehicle. Vehicle information includes a position of the target vehicle and a running plan. When a plurality of assistance requests are received from each of a plurality of target vehicles that are scheduled to pass through a predetermined area in the same period, the management device recognizes a direction of entry to the predetermined area and a direction of exit from the predetermined area for each of the plurality of target vehicles on the basis of vehicle information. Then, the management device determines whether to allocate the same remote operator or different remote operators to the plurality of target vehicles on the basis of a combination of the direction of entry and the direction of exit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
