To provide a track condition estimation method capable of easily inspecting a track using an operational vehicle.SOLUTION: A track condition estimation method includes an acceleration noise removal step, a tilt angle estimation step, and a track condition calculation step. The acceleration noise removal step eliminates the acceleration noise generated by the vehicle acceleration/deceleration from a three-dimensional acceleration measured by an inertia measuring device installed on a vehicle body or an axle box based on a vehicle travelling speed. The tilt angle estimation step estimates a horizontal tilt angle and a longitudinal tilt angle at the installation position of the inertia measuring device based on the three-dimensional acceleration with eliminated acceleration noise and the three-dimension acceleration measured by the inertia measuring device. The track condition calculation step calculates track condition information representing the track condition based on the estimated horizontal tilt angle and longitudinal tilt angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
