To provide a coupling structure for a closed cross-sectional member that is able to prevent seat surface depression and axial force reduction of a bolt.SOLUTION: A coupling structure for coupling closed cross-sectional members, each having a pair of through-holes facing each other with a space therebetween, has: a pipe having an opening at one end disposed in one of the pair of through-holes and an opening at the other end disposed in the other of the pair of through-holes, in each of the closed cross-sectional members; a patch provided on an external part of each closed cross-sectional member so that a first bolt hole smaller than an outer diameter of the pipe communicates with the pair of through holes; a bracket disposed in contact with the patch so that each of a plurality of second bolt holes communicates with the first bolt hole of the patch provided on the same side of each of the closed cross-sectional members; and a bolt inserted through the second bolt hole, the first bolt hole, and the pipe and fastened with a nut, in each of the closed cross-sectional members. The pipe is not fixed to either the closed-sectional member or the patch, and a diameter of the pair of through-holes is larger than the outer diameter of the pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
