To provide a safe passage detecting device for an overhead traveling crane in a factory capable of improving work efficiency and of easily performing record keeping.SOLUTION: A safe passage detecting device for an overhead traveling crane comprises: cameras 30 installed on an overhead crane 10 freely traveling along the guide rail 22 arranged on the upper part of a factory 20 and configured to capture a floor surface 24 of the factory 20 where a safe passage 23 is provided; a personal computer 40 configured to inspect the safe passage 23 based on the images of the floor surface 24 in the factory 20 captured by the cameras 30; and a display device 50 to configured to inform a person in charge of the inspection result of the safe passage 23 performed by the personal computer 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
