To enhance a degree of freedom of designing operation force for operation of pushing-in a button.SOLUTION: A shift lever 1 comprises a lever main body 2 and a shift knob 4. The lever main body 2 comprises a lever shaft 10 and a push rod 12 arranged inside the lever shaft. The shift knob 4 comprises: a lock release button 20 whose rear side receives push-in operation; a holder member 30 that holds the button 20; and a slider 40 (a converting member) that converts a motion in a direction of operation of pushing-in the button 20 to a motion of the push rod 12. The slider 40 comprises a surface 42 to be pressed that is pressed by the button 20 to move the slider 40, and the surface 42 to be pressed is formed of a curve surface that varies a moving amount of the push rod 12 in a non-linear fashion with respect to an amount of operation of pushing-in the button 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
