To provide a vehicle control device which can make a vehicle travel with lateral acceleration on a curved road so that respective drivers are satisfied.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises the steps of: setting reference curve speed when a vehicle travels on a curved road on the basis of a vehicle speed and curvature radius of the road; determining a target curve speed when the vehicle travels on the curved road on the basis of a reference curve speed and current correction value according to the curvature radius of the road; obtaining a new correction value according to the curvature radius of the road corresponding to the reference curve speed where change frequency at which the vehicle speed is changed from the target curve speed by a driver's operation is counted when the vehicle travels on the curved road, and the new correction value is on the basis of a correction coefficient determined every time the change frequency is counted and change amount of the vehicle speed changed from the target curve speed by the driver's operation; and determining a next target curve speed on the basis of the reference curve speed and the new correction value according to the curvature radius of the road.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】カーブした道路においてドライバごとに満足する横方向加速度で車両を走行させることのできる車両制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両制御装置は、車両の速度と道路の曲率半径とに基づいて、車両がカーブした道路を走行する時の基準カーブ速度を設定し、基準カーブ速度と、道路の曲率半径に応じた現在の補正値とに基づいて、車両がカーブした道路を走行する時に目標カーブ速度を決定し、車両がカーブした道路を走行している時に、ドライバの操作により車両の速度が、目標カーブ速度から変更された変更回数をカウントし、変更回数がカウントされる度に決定される補正係数とドライバの操作により目標カーブ速度から変化した車両の速度の変化量とに基づいて、基準カーブ速度に対する道路の曲率半径に応じた新たな補正値を求めることを含み、基準カーブ速度と、道路の曲率半径に応じた新たな補正値とに基づいて、次回の目標カーブ速度を決定する。【選択図】図3
