To smooth traversing of a hull.SOLUTION: A controller 40 executes a traversing mode for applying thrust to a hull 2 in a traverse direction by controlling a propulsion machine (engines 3L and 3R and vessel propulsion machines 4L and 4R) upon reception of an instruction for traversing the hull 2. The controller 40 controls the propulsion machine so as to generate thrust for rotating the hull 2 at least at the time of starting the traversing mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
