To provide a slide device capable of achieving both expansion of an inter-ball pitch and an increase in movement amount of an upper rail and reducing processing sites and the number of components.SOLUTION: A slide device 1 includes: lower side balls 4 arranged in a lower side gap 41 between a lower rail 2 and an upper rail 3; a retainer 6 arranged in the lower side gap 41; a lower coming-off prevention part 8 on a lower rail 2 side; and an upper coming-off prevention part 7b on the upper rail 3 side. The retainer 6 includes: a first ball-holding part 30A; a second ball-holding part 30B; a connection part 31 for connecting the first ball-holding part 30A and the second ball-holding part 30B; a pair of lower opposing surface parts 36, 37; and a pair of upper opposing surface parts 34, 35. The pair of lower opposing surface parts 36, 37 are arranged facing each other in a longitudinal direction across the lower coming-off prevention part 8. The pair of upper opposing surface parts 34, 35 are arranged facing each other in the longitudinal direction across the upper coming-off prevention part 7b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
