To provide a method of efficiently charging electric construction machinery, electric agricultural machinery, and the like using storage batteries, which allows electric construction machinery, electric agricultural machinery, and the like to work without leaving worksites at all.SOLUTION: A self-propelled vehicle 1 with a power generator moves to a worksite, generates power on the spot, and charges a storage battery of an electric construction machine 2 by connecting a charging cable 3 at the worksite. The power generator is automatically turned off upon completion of the charging. When a fuel for power generation is reduced, the vehicle 1 with the power generator moves by itself for refueling and then returns to the worksite.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
