To provide a ship propulsion machine which comprises a duct including a stator and a propeller including a rim with a rotor placed oppositely to the stator, capable of improving the output of a motor constituted of the stator and the rotor.SOLUTION: In a ship propulsion machine 100, a control unit 70 calculates a rotation speed TN of a rotor 54 based on magnetic flux density MD detected by a detection unit 60. The control unit 70 corrects the displacement of a magnetic position MP of the rotor 54 caused by an eddy-current generated in a metallic member MM based on the calculated rotation speed TN of the rotor 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
