To provide: an expandable system coupling an underwater sailing body to an on-water relay machine capable of avoiding troubles of being caught by an information transmission line when inspecting, by using an underwater sailing body, an inspection object in a system that couples the underwater sailing body to the on-water relay machine via an information transmission line.SOLUTION: The system comprises a first underwater sailing body 100, a second underwater sailing body 102, and an on-water relay machine 200; The system is configured to: send image information imaged by imaging means from the second underwater sailing body 102 to the first underwater sailing body 100 via underwater optical communication; transmit the image information received by the first underwater sailing body 100 to the on-water relay machine 200 via an information transmission line 24 coupling the first underwater sailing body 100 to the on-water relay machine 200; and cause the first underwater sailing body 100 to track the second underwater sailing body 102, in the meantime, transmit instruction to the second underwater sailing body 102 through the on-water relay machine 200, the information transmission line 24, and the first underwater sailing body 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
