To confirm the accuracy of a sensor that monitors the presence/absence of an object in a monitoring area in a space by measuring reflected light of the scanned light.SOLUTION: A measurement result acquisition part 111 acquires a measurement result of a space S from a sensor 2. A generation part 112 generates a distance image on the basis of the measurement result. A section part 113 refers to an area coordinate DB 121 and sections between a portion derived from a monitoring area R and a portion derived from a test area T from the distance image. A physical quantity acquisition part 114 acquires information on a prescribed physical quantity in a space S from an observation device 6. A determination part 115 refers to a condition table 122, reads out a condition according to the acquired physical quantity and compares the condition with the measurement result of the portion derived from the test area T to determine whether or not the measurement result satisfies the condition. A monitoring part 116 monitors the portion derived from the monitoring area R only when it is determined that the measurement result of the portion derived from the test area T satisfies the read condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
