To provide an automatic train operation support system which eliminates the need to accelerate a train decelerated due to the travel resistance caused by the contact and separation of trains in a tunnel section by avoiding the contact and separation of trains in the tunnel section where the travel resistance occurs and can suppress power consumption.SOLUTION: A ground device, in a case where it is estimated that the contact and separation of two or more trains in a tunnel section occurs and the contact and separation of the trains in the tunnel section can be avoided without the influence on the operation schedule on the basis of position information and speed information received from the two or more trains and route information held by a route database, when the power consumption amount in a case where the contact and separation is avoided is smaller than the power consumption amount in a case where the contact and separation is not avoided, transmits a travel instruction to the train to avoid the contact and separation. An on-board device creates a run curve from the received travel instruction and the route database to make the train travel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】走行抵抗が発生するトンネル区間内での列車の離合を回避することで、トンネル区間内の列車の離合による発生する走行抵抗により減速した列車を加速する必要がなくなり、消費電力を抑制することができる自動列車運転支援システムを提供する。【解決手段】地上装置は、2つ以上の列車から受信した位置情報および速度情報と、路線データベースが保持する路線情報から、トンネル区間における2つ以上の列車の離合が発生し、運行ダイヤへの影響なしにトンネル区間における列車の離合を回避できると推定した場合、離合を回避する場合の消費電力量が、回避しない場合の消費電力量よりも小さい場合、離合を回避するための列車への走行指示を送信する。車上装置は、受信した走行指示および路線データベースからランカーブを作成し、列車を走行させる。【選択図】図1
