To provide a floating body for towing and a towing method capable of stably towing a suction bucket jacket directly to an installation site without being lifted and towed by a floating crane as done conventionally.SOLUTION: There is provided a floating body 40 for towing a suction bucket jacket 100 including a plurality of suction buckets 10. The floating body 40 includes a plurality of hollow body units 40A, 40B, 40C arranged in between the floating suction buckets 10 and coupled to each other, and the body units 40A, 40B, 40C include bucket retaining units 43 capable of retaining the suction buckets 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
