To provide a wheel stopping device capable of easily determining whether the device is properly installed with respect to a wheel.SOLUTION: A wheel stopping device 100 includes a wheel stopping member 101 having a stopper part 103 which can be brought into contact with an outer circumferential surface of a tire wheel, a detection bar 121 which is movable between a protrusion position which is protruded from the stopper part 103 of the wheel stopping member 101 and a retracted position which is retracted from the protrusion position, a torsion spring member 115 which energizes the detection bar 121 onto the protrusion position, and a mark member 130 which is movable between a non-informing position corresponding to the protrusion position and an informing position corresponding to the retracted position, while interlocking with the detection bar 121. When inserting the wheel stopping member 101 up to such a position that the stopper part 103 is brought into contact with the outer circumferential surface of the tire wheel, the detection bar 121 is pressurized onto the retracted position from the protrusion position against the energizing force of the torsion spring 115, and thereby, the mark member 130 is moved from the non-informing position to the informing position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
