To accurately discriminate the kind of AC power, which is supplied from a vehicle exterior charging device, at the side of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A control device for a vehicle exterior charging device is configured to control the vehicle exterior charging device which supplies AC power to a charge loaded on a vehicle in order to charge a battery of the vehicle. The control device transmits a control pilot signal to a control device of the vehicle and changes the control pilot signal between the case where AC power to be supplied from the vehicle exterior charging device to the charger of the vehicle is single-phase AC power and the case where AC power to be supplied from the vehicle exterior charging device to the charger of the vehicle is three-phase AC power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
