To reduce the weight of a body component for a vehicle while securing required strength against bending moment.SOLUTION: Provided is a body component for a vehicle. The body component includes an annular portion having a hollow portion and formed in an annular shape. The hollow portion is formed in a cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the body component. The hollow portion is configured such that a neutral axis, with respect to a bending direction assumed in advance in the cross section passes through the hollow portion. Each of separation portions includes a thick portion that is thicker than a passage portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
