To provide systems and methods for securing guests into a ride vehicle of an amusement park ride.SOLUTION: A system includes a ride vehicle 20 of an amusement park ride 10, and a restraint system 30 coupled to the ride vehicle and including a lock having a detector that may receive a wireless signal. Receiving the wireless signal causes the lock to lock or unlock, and the restraint system may secure a rider into the ride vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
