To provide an air bag capable of securing a high back-flow suppressing function as a partition wall between an upstream-side chamber and a downstream-side chamber gets stabilized.SOLUTION: A partition wall 44 is arranged between an upstream-side chamber 41 on an upstream side of a flow of expansion gas G and a downstream-side chamber 42 on a downstream side. An outer peripheral edge 45 of the partition wall comprises: a continuous coupling part 47 coupled continuously to an inner peripheral surface of a border region 43 between the upstream-side chamber and downstream-side chamber; a partial coupling part 49 coupled partially to an inner peripheral surface of the border region 43; and a fin part 58 at a periphery of the partial coupling part 49. The fin part is made to separate from an inner peripheral surface 42a of the downstream-side chamber when the gas G of the downstream-side chamber out is to flow forward from the upstream-side chamber, and thus forms a flow passage 55 for forward flow of the gas flowing through a region of non-coupling parts 53, 54 which are not coupled to an inner peripheral surface of the border region between the continuous coupling part and partial coupling part to allow the gas to flow forward, and is pressed against the inner peripheral surface 42a of the downstream-side chamber when the gas is to flow backward to close the flow passage 55, thereby suppressing the gas from flowing backward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
